A vision allows everything to fall into place. It gives everyone a line of sight from where they are to where they’re going.
It’s not just what you want to achieve for yourself, but how you help clients achieve their vision and contribute to the community. An effective vision statement clarifies and gives focus and direction to your efforts. It provides alignment with your business strategy.
Anyone who sees it must be able to get it. if not, it’s not clear enough.
FUTURE STATE
The ideal vision statement, covers three dimensions. First, it must spell out your desired future state of success.
Second, it has to describe your vision for your actions, their impact and the legacy you’d like to leave behind.
Finally, your vision needs to describe your company’s culture and character – who you are and how you want to be perceived.
It’s important for a vision to strike a balance between being inspiring and being realistic. It’s about your bigger – picture, aspirations, not just a set of objectives.
“Through the process of developing my vision, I found my purpose and why I was passionate about it.”
In fact, setting a vision is generally the first step in helping your business create a strategic plan. I like to see that whole process tied to the vision. The vision is what pulls the company forward.
Our vision tells us how to communicate internally to our own people so everyone is aligned, but it also helps us understand our value proposition to communicate with clients.
My vision for a world of happiness, peace, joy and great health through our own innate knowledge from the beginning of time is crucial for a successful business and the success of our employees. When you start with a vision it is your belief that all will benefit, including yourself. My vision provides clarity for why I’m doing this.
Just in case you haven’t heard my vision, here goes:
“My vision since I was a child, was to encourage laughter everywhere I go, every day, with everyone, beginning with the young to those who are young at heart in all walks of life.
My goal is to create a world where healthy people come together in harmony and peace, creating a lifetime of happiness for one and for all.
My purpose is to lead by example so I can laugh forever in the minds of others”.
Laughter Yoga gave me the opportunity to think bigger and reach more people.
BOLD APPROACH
Gone are the days where I would play down my values.
Laughing loudly, playing with child-like abandonment and with the heart of an angel, I move into a higher vibration of love, ecstasy and wonder. I think that’s why people connect with me. I’m trying to lead by example.
WHAT’S YOURS?
Three Tips to Create Your Own Vision
1. Make your vision clear so that it gives employees focus and direction. Let it guide your business strategy and provide a sense of fulfillment for your team and clients.
2. Craft a vision statement in a way that describes your desired future state of success, your hoped-for business legacy and who you are as a company.
3. Ensure your vision is inspiring but also realistic. Strive for bigger-picture aspirations rather than simple objectives, but don’t stray into fantasy land.
VERY GOOD, VERY GOOD, YEAH!
Love, laughter and Peace!
