“If you want to be healthy in mind and body and live to be a hundred, LAUGH and LAUGH some more!!!!!.”
The Dalai Lama was once asked, why he is always so happy. He replied.
“Perhaps it is because I spend every waking moment thinking about the welfare of others.
There is no higher gift that can be given to others than easing their suffering with our divinely inspired Laughter Yoga teachings. What is important is, the attitude of our minds as we give’.
The mindfulness based stress reduction laughter exercises, include breathing & meditation techniques that come from all the laughter gurus around the world.
We know that laughter can wash away the worries and stress of everyday living,
and by replacing them with positive imagery, you increase confidence and peace of mind.
Near the end of each class the goal is for participants to attain the full ‘relaxation response’ and it’s that response that helps release the feel good endorphins.
Why is this important? Endorphins encourage white blood cells to help the body fight infection and disease.
Without the fight & flight response, you’ll slow down the aging process.
According to my clients and myself, repeated activation of the relaxation response through laughing can reverse sustained problems in the body and mend the internal wear and tear brought on by stress.
The nervous system can finally rest in, “Stillness”. From this place, the body will not easily fall prey to disease.
If the energy circulates from the center to the extremities one will remain in perfect health. If one furthermore stretches and twists, this will keep the body trim.
“When the mind & body is trained, and quieted, room is then created for our brightness, our True Self to shine through.
The nature of True Self is loving and witnessing.
